First of all, it is never a good idea to run the refrig on gas if you are driving. On the rare occassion you were in an accident you are just asking for additional trouble with the explosive potential of propane. Secondly, you should never visit a gas station with an open flame burning in the gas mode. That is why we have battery operated refrig's for when we fuel or travel in general.
