Follow-Up:
I had an 85 LeSharo- had problems but loved it- put over 100,000 miles and sold it for a 99 Rialta-it is still running. The Rialta's a dream to drive, much improved over the LeSharo, gets great gas mileage. Problem, get a definition of VW's warranty for service at "Any authorized VW dealer.
