Follow-Up:
sounds as if there is air in the fuel line, fuel filter and or pump. did you perhaps run it low on fuel recently ? also water in the fuel system will act like you discribe, on the right side of the underhood opening you will observe fuel filters, on top is a bleed screw, open slowly and allow to run till you get PURE FUEL.. good luck
