I too love my '99 Rialta, great improvement over my '85 LeSharo. Had some of the same problems you have had. If you are like me the one thing you are short of is storage. I have made some changes but am looking for others who have conquered that problem My only complaint was when my "engine warning light" went on an could not shut it off. Told by my dealer to call VW. They advised me that there was only one dealer in all of NY State- some 200+ miles away. It was then that I found out that the VW warranty stating about getting service at any "authorized VW dealer in the U.S." is misrepresented. There are,it seems,very few in the US. I suggest that you write to VW's president for clarification of the meaning "any authorize VW dealer". I hoping that if enough people write they will correct this situation. As to my Winnebago dealer, he's been great, absolutely no complaints. but I suggest that you also write to Winnebago's president b4cause the list that they gave with the owners infor is incorrct and lists VW dealers who will not give you service. Suggest you check for yourself before writing, but I think you will find me correct.
