Hi, If you buy other motor homes with a chasis made by ford - chev - chrysler -- You will at least stand a chance to have it worked on by good mechanics at dealerships locally. Safety in numbers you know. VW mechanics have never worked on much more than those tiny buggys. Your chances of finding a VW dealer to work on it are much less, no matter what anyone says. Common sense. I also believe that the chasis under the Rialta is of poor design, and not heavy enough to carry the house.
