You learned a common driving lesson the hard way...I don't care what kind of car, truck, van, or motorhome you drive...Always carry a full set of belts and hoses tucked away in the trunk...Throw in a few cans of Tire-inflator for those nasty nights with a flat in a bad neighborhood...and don't forget a bottle of water and something non-flammable to start a fire with - like a metal match or magnesium fire starter from your local sears, walmart etc.... Staying alive in the middle of civilization can suddenly become a challenge. Oh, mention that to the people who want to take away your right to own a gun in this "perfect" world!
