Bill, Remember that this site was designed to complain about the Rialta due to unpleasant experiences by the creator. If you want to really get a good measure of how people really feel about the unit check out the other Rialta sites available to you. Like any motorhome, we are dealing with auto and home issues. There are bound to be problems. For some of us, we have very good service options by both VW and Winnie. I have found the Winnie people to be very responsive. My VW dealer is also equipped to service the unit with no problem. Jiffy lube has also been designated an acceptable dealer for oil changes. The problem with most VW dealers is they are not equipped with a lift strong enough to lift the Rialta. Jiffy doesn't need a lift since they are in the pit. Also, the 2002 Rialtas have a modified cutout where the accessing of the oil filter can be done without dropping the whole pan on the older models. Winnie did send out a template so that older models could have the cutout for their pans as well. Also, the Continental Contrans tires have been replaced with Continental Vancos. The Contrans were splitting and causing blowouts. I have found my 2002 QD Rialta to be exactly what we were looking for. Fits in my drive, gets 17 mpg, has 201 hp engine, got it for $49,900 fully equipped except for leather, mag wheels, generator, had a Fiamma awning installed and it handles beautifully. Take another look and then make your decision. I had the same reaction when I first discovered this site and then I realized the reason it was established. Good Luck
