How Important is Gas Mileage?

The Realta certainly looks good, and gained my interest. I looked at some at the dealer, and the unit seemed too small inside. Too small of a shower and toilet and bed. Too small for confort! I read about the Realta problems and made up my mind that I did not need to buy a unit made of flimsy plastic, and hard to obtain parts. I currently own a 1986, 23 ft. Minnie Winnie with a 460 CU. Ford engine. I drive back and forth from California to Florida. My shower is large as well as the toilet area and the bed is queen size. The unit is very strong and reliable, and has 85,000. miles on it. Towing capacity is 5000 pounds. While driving the 85,000 miles the unit reqired, tires, belts, hoses, brakes,a power steering leak fixed , and exhaust system. All work done by a local mechanic. No problem it was Ford parts and easily obtained and installed at reasonable cost. My gas mileage is very poor at 7 miles per gallon, but in the long run perhaps gasoline is the cheepest thing I could buy. Cheeper than buying a Realta that breaks down and parts and service that can not be obtained!
