Question:
Our mystery ship (2001 QD - 18000 miles) has developed some very weird problems. Two weeks ago the AC went gunnysack on a hot day, started making loud scary shimmy sounds. We shut it off, made it home, forgot about it. Yesterday, hot trip, the tranny goes nuts while backing, LOUD vibrating noises, sounded like it was self-destructing. Shut down, waited an hour (shopping), started up OK. Did same thing 2 hours later, same cure. Later it happened again, this time we were in traffic just pulling away from a signal. Had to creep into nearest parking lot & shut down. Restarted immediately, ran OK, made it home. On the way we stopped at the local "expert tune up" place, watched the man turn white when confronted with the dreaded Rialta....moved on, will try to find dealer willing to work on it. To make it even more interesting the remote locks stopped working and one of door activated courtesy lights remains on (dim) so had to shut it off. Any suggestions for dealers in general area around Salem, OR? Perhaps a hand grenade...??? VooDoo...??? Thanks for any help, Larry
