we bought a 2000 and love every minute of it less than a year old and almost 20,000 miles but not all trouble free. this friday i leave to go to the factory to have repairs done from an accident (side wall replacement)and while im there they will do the little repairs that need done. as far as if i had it to do over again i would buy again. its fun and can park it in the driveway , its my everyday car for work and play. love the looks of the good folks who have never seen one. we have bought a lot of cars in our life time and have yet to get one with out something going wrong with it while we owned it and the Rialta is no execption. as far as finding a dealer (VW) to work on it i have had no trouble (live in las vegas) just called and ask if they would at least try and they did the repair and if needed again bet they would be more than glad to do what they could,if not VW has towing (with your warranty)to the nearest dealer that will do the repair. the contactwe have had with winnebago customer service has been great they have directed me in who to see and what the repair should be and how the repairs should be done. your local dealers are the one who do the repair and if you know what and how and double check there work (found our local dealer didn't do it proper)you can solve half your problems. So for all who are unhappy with there Rialtas it could be some your own faults and my i suggest "DO YOUR HOMEWORK" know the systems and how they work. and if its a minor repair do it your self and learn , save your self some money and enjoy your investment. A lesson hard learned is the shower drain filter< was so mad after our first weekend camping and the filter became dirty and the shower would not drain, went to the dealer and wanted it fixed yesterday so the guy showed me how to clean it what a fool i felt but lesson learned. Know your equipment and and what it takes to keep it in good running order. The Rialta is a good investment i put money in my pocket everytime i drive it , by not getting the larger RV that gets 6 to 9 mpg.
