Follow-Up:

I have a 1999 Rialta and love it with it's 140 hp. The new 201 hp is a good bit of hype to sell more vehicles to those buyers who only respond to horsepower. Have traveled through the rockies many times with no problems. The 1999 engine generates 140 hp @ about 4500 rpm, requiring only regular gasoline. I have never had the occasion to run over 4500 rpm. True, the 201 hp engine has added intake and exhaust valves and improved exhaust piping, but it is still the same stroke and displacement, so the increased hp is obtained mostly from higher engine rpm ( 6300 rpm ) and the new engine requires use of premium higher octane fuel! The times will be rare that you will need anything close to 201 hp and feel comfortable running at 6300 rpm. With the high gasoline prices, I am very happy to get 18 mpg with regular grade fuel.
