My Rialta was purchased March 2001 brand new. I was so excited to be off and exploring; instead I was off to find a shop that would service the first of many problems. First it was the engine light coming on all the time. Here's some of the other continuing problems: The air conditioner being replaced and worked on 4 times...still not fixed. A gas leak in the propane...still not able to find problem...fixtures on the interior coming apart...shower hose fixtures both cracked; one without even being used...drain in shower had to be replaced after one use...drain for black water tank leaks...and now after 19,000 miles, the Transmission needs replaced! It's spent more time in the shop instead of the great explorations anticipated. After any trip taken, the Rialta needs another visit to the shop...WHAT A LEMON! Speaking of Lemon's, I am planning on going for the lemon law. I would not even want an upgrade of this vehicle or to have it in the shop once again with a promise of it being "fixed this time." It's hard enough to find a place that will even service this vehicle with knowledge. I DO ADVISE ANYONE TO PURCHASE A VOLKSWAGIN RIALTA! Sincerely: A disappointed customer
