VW Cooing fan failure

Question:

Our 2000 Rialta is our second VW Eurovan based RV we have owned. Overall we have been very happy. Yes - the back shelf came loose, yes - the side doors electric locks wiring chaffed and failed, yes - the hot water heater trips, yes - the tires are wearing at 20K miles, and yes the shower pump gets clogged. People - It is an RV and this not too untypical. I nailed and glued the back shelf. I replaced the side door locks with Magnum Shooters. The water heater is easily reset and I added a simple filter on the shower drain. My BIG problem is the catastrophic failure with both the radiator's cooling fans at 19,200 miles. Has anyone ever experienced this problem? If so; what type of damage occurred? One of my replacement fans is starting to fail with less then 1000 miles. To better understand the problems please refer to the following video link. http://www.ajbsales.com/VWFAN.mpg Yes I would buy another Rialta. It drives like gem and gets great gas mileage. We have four captain's chairs so not only do we camp every weekend in the summer we sometimes use it around town and on short business trips. Even my petite wife feels comfortable driving it.
