Follow-Up:
The suggestion that VW or Rialta are "Nazi" products, or influenced by Nazi ideals is repugnant to me. As a german-American, I find it hard to take the suggestion that german-Americans, or Germans themselves, are somehow today, in 2003, engaged in some plot to enslave and kill all other peoples. Have we not moved beyond this prejudice yet? That I am of german heritage, that I like the VW products, that I like german engineering, does not make me a bad person. Likewise, the people who engineer the VW's (in germany and in Malibu CA) are not bad people. The Rialta engineers should not be tarnished with the broad brush of anti-germanism either (for all I know they are Scandanavian people from the upper Midwest). Being unhappy with your choice is one thing, blaming that on the germanic folk is another thing. We do not deserve that/ Very truly yours, Jeffrey Zoeller
