I recently bought a 1999 Rialta automatic transmission with less than 4000 miles on odometer. On first real test drive out discovered I couldn't downshift manually into 3,2 or 1 gears with lever button pressed to slow the vehicle while going downhill. The owners manual offers no help except to mention when to use the down shift modality. Does anyone out there have a similar experience? Have I bought a lemon? The RV works fine in all other gears and I can hear it changing in automatic mode. Any comments will be appreciated.
